Our good friend from Atlanta, Evan, happened to be in Sao Paulo for work. So, he extended his stay for a night and hung out with us this weekend. First, we explored the city with a professor from Emory who wrote a guide book about the area. We saw this beautiful, old train station.
Next, we took Evan to Salve Jorge, a great restaurant for grilling meat.

We grilled Picanhia, chicken, steak, and sausage. |
|
We also grilled broccoli, carrots, potatoes and onions. |
We met friends from my school for a Going Away Party at the end of the evening and enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries and bananas.
The guys woke up at 7:30am to run an uphill 5K for Brody's KPMG running team.

After the race... NOT happy! |
After the race, we went to one of the only restaurants open on Sundays near our apartment and ordered Acai and bananas.
We also ordered lunch... the portions were MUCH bigger than we anticipated!

An Omelet with mushrooms, bacon and cheese |
|
burger with three buns, and only one piece of meat |

Overall, it was a great weekend! Thanks Evan for extending your stay and seeing what our life is like here! We had a blast hanging out with you!
